We just completed our reading of Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. In this thrilling and heartfelt historical novel we felt compelled to root and hope for the protagonist, Annemarie. Her courage and bravery inspired us to also stand up for injustice, as she did for her best friend, Ellen Rosen. Think about your favorite scene in the novel and write about. Why was it your favorite?

I enjoyed the part when Annemarie goes on the dark forest road. it's full of great thrills and a bit scary so you never know what going to happen it's also a life or death situation for the Rosens and the other Jews.

I think my favorite theme was when Annemarie had to deliver the package to uncle Hendrik. It was a surprise because she did it with out being caught they did open the package but it still was in one piece.

My favorite part in the story is when she hid Ellen's necklace, because it did not say where she hid the necklace but at the end she finally got the necklace and that showed us where the necklace was.🤗🤓
